There are a lot of opportunities, news, and events happening here at iGEM and through After iGEM that we are excited to highlight for you.

As we ramp up another iGEM 2018 season, competition teams are registering (223 so far!), preparing (fewer than 37 weeks to go), and accomplishing (for example: policy-making and film-making).

Below is what is happening beyond the competition... with After iGEM.

  • Five iGEMers attended the Biological Weapons Convention last December through the Delegate Program. Read about their experiences.
  • IDT provides free synthesis to all iGEM teams again, allowing teams around the world to live in the future of synthesis. Thank you, IDT!
  • iGEM startups continue to succeed. New startups include: XENO Cell Innovations and Pili. Let us know about your iGEM startup today.
  • In Case You Missed It:
Biota Beats created the iGEM 'Uni-Verse' at the 2017 Giant Jamboree and was featured in STATNews and Scientific American.
